Tórshavnar Municipality signs contract with J&K Petersen for new swimming pool facility in Gundadalur

Tórshavnar Municipality and the main contractor J&K Petersen have officially signed a delivery document regarding the new swimming pool facility in Gundadalur.

According to information from J&K Petersen’s website, the municipality will begin preparations for the new area and pool over the next few weeks.

The long-awaited swimming pool is being constructed within the existing swimming complex and will feature 10 lanes, each measuring 50 meters. The facility will include seating for approximately 600 spectators, as well as wellness amenities such as hot tubs, a relaxation area, a steam room, and additional features.

The opening is anticipated to take place during week 45, which coincides with the week of the municipal elections. Further details are expected to be released soon by Tórshavnar Municipality.
