Faroe Islands residents to purchase flights to USA and Canada from Vágur

Starting next year, residents of the Faroe Islands will have the opportunity to purchase flight tickets directly from Vágur to select destinations in the USA and Canada.

Atlantic Airways announced a partnership agreement yesterday with Iceland’s Icelandair and Greenland’s Air Greenland. This collaboration aims to enhance the travel experience for passengers.

“It will be easier and simpler to travel,” says Jóhanna á Bergi, the CEO of Atlantic Airways.

With this new agreement, travelers can expect more streamlined options for transatlantic journeys, allowing for more direct flights and potentially reduced travel times. The partnerships are designed to improve connectivity for those traveling to North America from the Faroe Islands, a small archipelago with a growing interest in international travel.
