Djóni Eidesgaard steps down as secretary general of Barnabata in the Faroe Islands

After over 11 years of dedicated service, Djóni Eidesgaard has stepped down from his role as the secretary general of Barnabata, an organization focused on child welfare.
In a statement on Facebook, he expressed that the time has come for him to explore new opportunities.
Kringvarpið reached out to Djóni Eidesgaard for further comment, but he declined to provide details regarding the reasons for his departure or his current situation.
The media outlet also contacted Turið Horn, a board member of Barnabata, who did not comment on whether a departure agreement was reached. However, she confirmed in a message to Kringvarpið:
“I can confirm that we have agreed, and that he has left his position. The board, together with the staff, is managing the work moving forward.”
Currently, Barnabata is staffed by a team of two coordinators working to continue the organization’s important mission.
