Authorities investigate house fire fatalities in Imatra, Finland

Authorities have not yet positively identified the individuals who died in a house fire in Imatra, Finland. According to Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Matti Raivikko, the deceased are likely to be adults who resided in the home.
The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday evening when the fire broke out in a relatively new single-family house on Antreankatu. The structure was completely destroyed and is now deemed uninhabitable.
The Southeastern Finland police are currently investigating the cause of the fire. Raivikko indicated that the possibility of foul play has not yet been ruled out.
